Hello, I’m Isabella Littleford, a veteran in the fashion space with a deep-rooted passion for exploring the crossroads of high fashion and daily wear.

Having spent more than ten years in fashion, I’ve had the privilege of sharpening my skills in Paris—the heart of haute couture and partnering with renowned design icons worldwide. This journey has shaped my eye for luxury-level detail, forward-thinking design, and pieces that last. I’ve always been captivated by Golden Goose sneakers, a brand that perfectly combines a distressed, lived-in vibe with impeccable high-end craftsmanship. Here, I’ll walk you through my thoughts on different Superstar models, exploring their design language, wearability, and wardrobe potential.

If you’re someone who lives for limited-edition sneakers or just wants a polished casual shoe, I’m here to guide you through it all with knowledge gained through a decade in the field. Come with me as we unpack what sets these sneakers apart!

Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also had them long enough that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.

So I’m breaking down a bunch of frequently asked questions, as well as where to score deals on them, just ahead! Also, if you’re interested in more try-ons and reviews, take a look at my Abercrombie vs. Agolde jean shorts review, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and review of my Dudley Stephens fleece!

Where could someone find Golden Goose sneakers?

I discovered mine on sale via Cettire and snagged them that way!

Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast and that’s a win in my book

What’s the cost?

Back in April, I found a deal for $385.43 instead of paying grey goose shoes the full $513.91.

Golden Goose sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400–$1,700, depending on how decked out they are.

How does the sizing run?

They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.

Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.

How comfy are they?

They only needed minimal break-in time..

How durable are they?

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.

Do they feel better than other shoes?

They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is one of a kind. And the glitter on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.

Would you recommend them?

Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. Mine have pink glitter, but a neutral version would also be smart.

Discount sources?

Here are the spots I found most reliable. I had a 10/10 experience with GGoose.org, so I think they’re a great option.

  • GGoose.org – where I picked up mine!
  • Gilt – you can sign up for free!
  • Vestiaire Collection – it also looks like they’re offering $50 off your APP first order of $150+ with code WELCOMEUS50
  • The Real Real – an awesome source for brand new or hardly used Golden Goose shoes at fantastic prices
  • Ebay – even more fantastic steals on lightly worn pairs of Golden Goose sneakers
  • @likeabandit – she features lots of GG deals on her Instagram stories, keep your eyes peeled

Where did you get them?

Cettire had them on sale and I took advantage right away!

I ordered them on April 28th and they were delivered by April 30th, so the shipping was super fast and that’s a win in my book

What’s the cost?

When I bought my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their regular price is over $500.

You can expect to pay between $410 and seventeen hundred depending on their design features.

Do they fit as expected?

I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair. They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up

How comfy are they?

They only needed minimal break-in time.

How do they perform over time?

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched.

Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
